Yes and the coach is judged on that finished product. If there is a
problem, he is the one responsible to fix it. The continued claim that
the lack of talen left by FS just won't cut it anymore, esp when there
are a number of them (on D) in the NFL.
If there was a crushing D and a O that was a work in progress, there
would not be as much dissension as there is.
Coaches live and die by the assistants they choose. BC fired one of
the top DC (according to Rivals BP is the #2 DC in the college ranks)
to bring in "his guy".
Do I think BC should be fired today ? No. KC ? TTech showed there is a
precedent for it. But that is the coaches call, however if NU continues
the current level of play and ends up 6-6 (not an unreasonable thing
considering how much better KU/KSU/CU are), then the U must seriously
consider replacing BC (and eating a very large contract). That fact
alone is why SP should be out the door as well.
