What is your basis for this? The time of possession in last night's
game was relatively even. Missouri had the ball for 31:40 and NU had
the ball for 28:20.
Here is how the TOP worked out in Nebraska's other games:
Nevada NU
19:22 40:38
Wake Forest NU
32:02 27:58
USC NU
29:02 30:58
ISU NU
39:03 20:17
Mizzou NU
31:40 28:20
Only the ISU game really fits your assertion that NU's offense gets
cheated out of significant playing time by the defense (if we can even
accept that premise as the reason in the first place). The rest are
relatively even or in NU's favor. I really don't think NU's offense
would have done much more with 3 extra minutes in last night's game. Do
you?

Who is suggesting that we bring back Solich? As much as I was against
his firing and liked him as a head coach, I'm not suggesting that he
should be brought back to Lincoln. I haven't seen anyone on the list
who has suggestd it, either. Nonetheless, the "Solich" security blanket
is one that Callahan's supporters can no longer cover up with. This is
year 4 of the Callahan experiment and all that matters is whether
Callahan is on the right track. I don't believe he is.
