All I know about Perlman is what I've heard from friends and family who
have dealt with him personally, and it's generally not favorable. I
would like to see someone investigate the dealings of the chancellor and
the athletic department to the extent that the World Herald investigated
*Nancy Belck at UNO last year. Something just does not seem right about
how Pederson's contract extension and Callahan's subsequent contract
extension were handled, and it all started with Harvey Perlman. Harvey
seems like a classic example of the "peter principle." He was probably
perfectly well-suited in his position as dean of the college of Law, but
not fully prepared for the complete responsibilities of his current
position.

I would probably ease off on this one if he would distance himself from
Steve Pederson, but that is not something he has done to this point.
Until he does, I think this is where the pressure needs to be placed.
