Not a story, really, but here is a quote from Sipple's column:
"Callahan's public-approval rating is falling fast. Steve Pederson's
lieutenants keep jumping ship. Trust me, all is not well in Husker
command central. But you knew that. Life around the NU athletic complex
these days is about as touchy- feely as a letter from the IRS."

Given the current NU Athletic Department regime's attitude towards
media dissent (e.g., NET and baseball) and Sipple's columns lately,
I wonder how he is received there.

Sipple's next line is: "Nothing a win at Missouri won.t cure, or at
least help."  I haven't previously thought that Pederson might be on
thin ice, but you might start to get the feeling that an unsuccessful
football season might be a real problem for Pederson.
