I hope you're right. The more I think about it, the more I like it. He
just needs to get a few kick-butt assistants like a Pelini, a Christian /
Jason Peters, etc. Loyalty to the school, system, not afraid of total
dedication and not treating the situation as a temporary stepping-stone
position. I think both Dr. Tom and TG both can look at what happened
during the Solich years and learn from the negative aspects of recruiting
atrophy, taking things for granted, etc.

I listen to The Spread on ESPN1480 and Jason Peter said he would be happy to coach the D-line. I can see where you need the HC to be the steady hand and the assistants to kick tail. I can EASILY see Jason kickin' tail. 

Reminds me of the one year of Barney Cotton as O-line coach. I sit in section 7 on the east side. The Huskers probably just went 3 and out on offense. Barney is atleast 30 yard away and is chewing the boys good. I could hear him over the crowd noise and my radio earbuds. I think every head in the east stands turned to see what was going on. We started cheering for Barney.
