I dunno if I can put any credence in this post. I checked all the news
links at BigHuskerFan.com and those pretty much confirm what I've heard on
radio and TV, and what we've seen here; two candidates for sure (Pellini and
Gill) and lots of speculation on two other candidates but no confirmation of
any names. The Wake Forest coach has been getting a lot press, but nobody
seems to know if anyone has talked to him yet. At this point, I'll take
this report that Pellini is the #1 candidate and his job to take with a
grain of salt the size of Memorial Stadium. It may be true, and it may
belong with the reports of Bob Davies' cable installation. There's nothing
here to support it other than its on a board somewhere. Any other similar
reports, anywhere? Or is this gospel from Osborne's barber's
brother-in-law's cousin's second wife. This whole search is being handled
pretty discretely and almost everyone is being pretty circumspect about what
they say to the press. I'd be surprised if anyone really 'knows' anything
other than Dr. Tom, Harvey and the candidates.
