OK, of the people rumored to be considered (names I have heard include BP, TB, Brian Kelly (Cincy), Johnson (Navy coach), Rodrigeuz(I do not see him really considering NU), Grobe (Wake Forest), I would think Grobe or Rod. 

Of course I like all of them (sans Kelly), I really like the fact that they are from the college ranks and not the pro ranks.

I do not see how that could be BP, with the SEC champ game this weekend and bowl game.

The Wake Forest coach sound like a very good candidate. Kelly from Cincy sounds like a mercenary and I hope it is not him. Obviously TG would be a good choice but not (IMHO) the best.
