Fellow Husker Fans,
As I've stated before, I really liked BC's offense. If our defense had provided some measure of "cover" for the offense, I believe we'd have seen some more firepower. Joe Ganz was thrown to the wolves which led to most of the turnovers (not all). If, there was any way to keep BC as the offensive coordinator, replace the defensive coordinator, and bring in a new head coach, I would've been all for it. That's too fanciful though.
I believe BC lost the "Husker Nation" with his non-excuses and what seemed to be arrogance in the face of such overwhelming facts. He continued to state he'd done a good job while the defense continued to fail. I believe if he'd apologized or given some insight to what was going on, he may have survived. His either unwillingness to accept fault or to root out the causes was his downfall.
IMHO, he's not head coach material much like Norv Turner. They should stick to the offensive coordinator positions where they can wield their skills and make those offenses hum. He couldn't manage the entire program. Fare thee well BC; just not here.
