It gets very dangerous when you generalize about an
entire fanbase, though I think now it's safe to say
that most Husker fans are hoping the Bill Callahan era
is in it's final days.  That's not a universal
opinion...but I'm fairly confident it's a majority
opinion now.

     I agree totally that is how the majority of the fan base feels.  But, I
     doubt TO is getting a poll of the fan base and getting a feel for which
     way the wind is blowing and then make his decision accordingly.  Whether
     I agree with his decision or not I believe it will be what he believes to
     be the best decision for UNL football.  That and I doubt it will be an
     emotional decision.  I also believe TO knows the relatively easy part of
     the procedure is firing Callahan.  The difficult part will be putting
     someone in place that will right the ship and be here for 6-7 years or
     more and build a solid base.   To my knowledge there has been nothing
     said about any announcements Saturday one way or another.  The only thing
     I have heard is TO is going to meet with the coaching staff.  The rest of
     this week should prove interesting.
