[Husker] Huskers will beat buffs handily

As a season ticket holder for both teams, I have also been keenly
aware of the parallels between the two teams this year, including the
common problem between them of being very vulnerable to the run,
while suffering a five-game losing streak on one side versus losing
five out of six on the other. (Thank goodness the Rockies' amazing
run helped distract me from the sting!)
Unfortunately, the pessimist in me is afraid that the Huskers is more
likely to match the Broncos' performance at the Bears next Sunday
instead of their win against the Titans Monday night. The Bears are
at 4-6; the Buffs stand at 5-6.
On the other hand, I do think that both teams have shown positive
signs the last couple of weeks and they both are in position to
actually play after the regular season and I think that both teams
have a decent chance to win this weekend as road underdogs.
The correlations between the two teams stretch a bit longer as well.
Both teams peaked in the mid-to-late 90's as great running teams in
an increasingly pass-oriented sport. Three MNC's and two Super Bowls
made for some good times in the stands.
