I think Baylor would be a step up from Buffalo.  Sure, Baylor is down now, but they have had good football there in the not to distant past. They have a strong (ie wealthy) alum base and they love football in Texas. Baylor is a Baptist school and I would think that would appeal to Turner. 
   
  Buffalo , on the other hand, is in a pro sports town in a much weaker conference. 
   
  Turner may have more job security in Buffalo, but if he's looking to move up to the big time (and that's a big if), Baylor may not be a bad move.

I don't consider Baylor a step up from Buffalo, and I would hope Turner
Gill doesn't either. What he doesn't need right now is a reputation for
job-hopping.
