[Husker] failure? Hard to say

What does that mean...embrace this state? Tell me a coach, besides Tom
Osborne, that has cared one iota about this university or this state after
leaving here. Face it...we all loved McBride, Brown, Darlington, Eppley,
Powers, Kiffen, Cotton, Gill, Steele, Tenopir, Sanders, Pelini, etc. How
many of them have been speaking up lately about the state of the Huskers?
How many of them have been willing to make a move to make a change? NONE.

Some of these guys, (e.g. Tenopir, Darlington, Brown) are not currently
employed as coaches, at any level, so it's not like their not available or
can't speak out.

Believe me...these guys loved their jobs and were great PR reps for the
Huskers while they were employed here (not to mention they did a very good
job at what they did). However, to say that they embraced the state any
more than Callahan or Cosgrove is probably just not true.

When you get a chance, go to http://www.coachcallahan.com/ Try clicking on
the Charities tab and take a look at all that Bill Callahan and his wife
have done in and around the community. Believe me....the man cares.

He may not be the best coach or the right man for the HC at Nebraska, but he
has done his part to "embrace the state".
