Greetings Husker List, I've been gone for awhile...

It might be worth noting how tough our schedule has been this year. Only
one team, Iowa State (3-8), who has just succeeded in coming back from a
21-0 halftime deficit to beat Colorado (5-6), has a losing record.

My schedule ratings ( at http://www.bapi.net/football/college.opp.html )
have Nebraska's opponents as the 3rd toughest:

  29. South Carolina 234.24 6 4 0.600 225.78 43 30 0.589
  35. Mississippi State 224.13 5 4 0.556 225.25 41 26 0.612
   1. Louisiana State 313.51 8 1 0.889 222.94 49 26 0.653

In my ratings, I have Ohio State's SOS rated 86th. If we had the
Buckeye's schedule, we'd like be in the 7-3 or 8-2 range. For this
reason, my ratings still have LSU, with 7 opponents in the top 35, ranked
above Ohio State. Ohio State has one top 35 opponent (Penn State).

Arkansas, by comparison, is 6-3 now with a very easy schedule, despite
playing in the SEC (Troy, North Texas, Tenn-Chat, and Fla Int OOC).
They'd like be 1-8 or 2-9 against Nebraska's opponents.

Colorado we'll be our second sub-.500 opponent and should we be them,
we'll go to a lower tier bowl and my guess is that we'll compete favorably
against another .500 team from a major conference or .700 team from
another.

Nice game today and I'll be very surprised if Joe Ganz isn't this week B12
offensive player of the week. Then again I'm not sure how KU QB Todd
Reisling's 6 TDs didn't get him the POW for the *5th week in a row*
against the Husker defense (Chase Daniel got it).
