I don't take it as being critical, but I'd guess we all wonder why the
offense sparked last week. Was KState that bad (perhaps)? Is Ganz that
good (probably not)? Did the number of dropped balls make difference (not
much)? What I notice over the last two weeks is the variety of receivers
getting a look at the ball, not so much that they catch it when it gets to
them. Anyone remember that Franz Hardy was still on the team before last
week? Nunn had his first TD this year? I don't wonder about the balls that
have been dropped, I wonder if its that these guys simply haven't seen many
ball come their way all year. Anybody got stats on receiving - targets and
catches? I'm just wondering if there's a difference on who's been getting
the balls.

As far as the O line play, I think the line is doing a better job, but Ganz
has the ability to move the pocket and get away from the rush, which makes
it seem like the line is blocking better. As an example, when the defensive
rusher finally makes it past the O line, the QB isn't standing there getting
ready to throw, he simply isn't there anymore. That's what I see as the
difference. And with the offense being more successful in passing, the
defense begins to look for the pass, and the runs tend to open up. But I
would agree the O line on offense looked pretty good last week.

Overall, I just think it maybe the attitude of the offense has changed. I
can't put my finger on it, and not being on the field, at practice, in the
huddle, I can't figure if that's whats happening here. But the offense has
sparked, and it now seems capable of outscoring what the defense is letting
through. This next week at Boulder should be interesting, to say the least.
