[personal] [Husker] The latest from Bill

I am really happy something great happened while Callahan was present on the
sidelines; but that doesn't remove him for the last 4 years of poor coaching
and foolish decisions. Take away his incredible ability to speak in front
of people; take all the glory and none of the responsibility for poor
performance and you have the Rain man staring at the sky. He must go along
with Cosgrove, 6 quarters of football is not a trend of excellence. I am
hoping we beat CU on Turkey weekend, that will prove to me that this group
of players has the ability to be consistent (I stress 'ability').

While Callahan was getting strained patting him self on the back, I would
like to congratulate the seniors and the rest of the team on an excellent
game--if you play with that intensity at Boulder you will win.

No matter what happens at CU Callahan & Cosgrove must go and I am sure
Doctor Tom has an idea of who will be placed into the void.

Quoting Tommy Thompson <huskertt at charter.net>:

And absolutely horrific offensive performances against bad defenses is doing
well? I don't have the statistics, nor do I feel like looking them up,
but I'd
be curious as to how NU's offense in the past typically performed against
defensives ranked in the bottom half (ie # 's 51 or greater).

You really want to bring this up?????

So two and a half games make a trend?

Maybe, maybe not. When the D is ranked in the 100's better gives more than
a
hundred options.

You're right. This has nothing to do with coaching.

Some of these weren't really adjustments; injuries have played a part. Plus
outstanding talent like running backs Castille and Helu are players you
want to
get on the field. From my perspective, putting Watson on the sideline
wasn't
brilliant, it was a move of desperation. If he was so good at making
adjustments, where's the defensive adjustment?

***sarcasm alert*** Just like Solich... and the result doesn't matter
***off***

What if NU loses by 40 next week? Does your opinion change?
