[Husker] defense

A sure sign of how far we've fallen..

The defense gave up 428 yards and 31 points (not too far off from their
abysmal season averages), and it was one of their better performances of
the year. I think a lot of those yards came after the game was decided,
but I remember when giving up that many yards in any situation would
have been cause for alarm.

One of the moments I'll always remember from today's game is when they
announced Ganz's record-breaking passing performance and the crowd gave
him a standing ovation. Meanwhile, KSU's running back is streaking down
the field for a 53 yard touchdown. Thanks Cosgrove!

I really have to wonder how the games against Missouri and Oklahoma
State would have turned out if Ganz had been playing. Those were not
great defenses, but NU's offense was horrible in both of those games.
It's hard to make these decisions when you only look at what players
have done at practice, but the real question is: Why was Ganz not taking
any snaps in these blowouts?

I think that Nebraska will probably beat Colorado at this point. CU
seems pretty similar to KSU - they are a bad team with one amazing win
(over Oklahoma). This won't be enough to save Callahan, and it
shouldn't be. The only question is when the axe falls. I would hope
that Osborne does not wait until after a possible bowl game.
