I have a tough time with that argument. I went to two games this year and watched all but one of the others and I can't understand why anyone thinks Sam is anything more than a mediocre quarterback. Inconsistent and inaccurate for sure. On crossing or outs, his passes were all over the place. Deep or fades? ditto. And several folks have referenced his arm strength. I *never* saw anything all year where I thought this guy had a cannon, not once. More shotputs than anything. Play on Sunday? not a snowballs chance. Zach Taylor was a FAR better quarterback than Sam.

I think Mo answered this himself in a published interview either last week or the week before. He said that we always seem to go to the check-down or dump-off and that sure is what I saw as well. Sam just didn't seem to be able to see downfield consistently or hurried to the check-down. Maybe it was his protection, but that was the same OL out there today.
