I believe Ganz hit 30 for 40 for 510 yards (Husker record) and seven
touchdowns (Husker record?). More than that, he provided the team
leadership that's been missing all season.

Far from restoring confidence in Callahan's judgment, Ganz's
performances against KU and KSU calls it into question. It will be
interesting to hear Calllahan's explanation as to why Ganz got
nothing but splinters in his britches during those five straight
losses before Keller's injury.

Ganz patently has a better grasp of the offense and at least today
had an almost perfect sense of timing in his throws as commented
frequently by TV color announce Kelly Stouffer, Nebraska native and
former pro qb.

One or two Listers argued after the KU game that Keller was/is a
better passer than Ganz, but I'd argue that they were making their
case on the basis of too little evidence. Other Listers wondered why
Purify got so few chances, and today we have at least a partial
answer: because Ganz wasn't doing the throwing.

We'll see how much of today's game carries over into Boulder, but my
guess is that for the first time this year we'll see the same Husker
team show up for two games in a rowl.
