[Husker] Brilliant!

I realize it's not proper to discuss actual football plays on the
HuskerList, but I can't help myself.

My nomination for the most brilliant unheralded play of the year:

True freshman d-back Prince Amukamara chased KSU receiver Calvin
Murphy down and tackled him on the one yard line, having picked up
about five yards on Murphy within thirty-five yards. (Remember,
Murphy's a true speedster, fastest of the Wildcats.)

I haven't seen anything like it since Army's Glenn Davis made a
similar chase-down on Navy's Clyde Scott in the 1945 Army-Navy game.

For those of you who are not familiar with track and field history,
Clyde Scott of Smackover, Arkansas, was a sprinter and hurdler,
winner the Bronze in the 120 meter hurdles at the 1952 Helsinki
Olympics.

That's just one of many reasons Glenn Davis was listed today as the
eleventh-best college football player of all time. (He also won the
Heisman.)
