[Husker] Callahan's college coaching experience

Then why does everyone want Pelini?  He has never been a head coach and
never really had to build on a program in shambles.  LSU was a pretty
good defense before he got there, the Huskers arguably had a good
foundation when he got here.  So why would we give him the reigns - let
him go somewhere else to learn?  Not saying I agree with not giving him
a chance - but that I guess is the other side....

Not everyone does. But unlike Callahan, there is a Nebraska connection
- albeit a very short one. Most people view his time at NU as a
positive experience, even with the defensive meltdown in a couple games
and the 4th quarter of the Missouri game - although turnovers killed us
more in that game than the defense. I don't know if he'd make a good
head coach. I'm not sure I'd risk it if I was in TO's position.
