Then why does everyone want Pelini?  He has never been a head coach  and 
never really had to build on a program in shambles.  LSU was a pretty  good 
defense before he got there, the Huskers arguably had a good foundation  when he got 
here.  So why would we give him the reigns - let him go  somewhere else to 
learn?  Not saying I agree with not giving him a chance -  but that I guess is 
the other side....

Arizona, Southern Illinois, and  Wisconsin.  I knew he had college
experience, but I had no idea to  this extent.  It makes his failure at
Nebraska even more  puzzling.

Not  really.  His only shot as head coach was 2 years in the NFL.   One
year was good - riding the coattails of success.  The next year  was
horrible.  He may be a good coach, but there's absolutely no  reason to
believe he is or can be a good HEAD coach.
