[Husker] Callahan Resignation statement in doubt

My point wasn't that he would stay as coach.  He's too stubborn to  
take directions from anyone.  My point was that if he DIDN'T take  
those directions from his boss, isn't he being "fired for cause".  I  
understand that firing him because of a win/loss record is grounds  
for him to get the rest of his contract bought out.  But aren't there  
cases where we can fire a coach without having to pay him his salary  
for 5 years?  For example, what if he had committed NCAA violations?   
Can we fire him then without sending him out with millions in his  
pocket?
