[Husker] KMTV: Callahan asked for Resignation

Ahh, the master motivational tactic at work. If this is true (and who
the heck knows these days with all the rumors flying around) it may
motivate these kids a bit over the last 2 (maybe 3?) games, perhaps a
"rally around the staff" type deal. I have seen this work before (and no
I can't think of any specific examples right now, it's too early in the
morning ;-) ) but who knows how this would pan out here.
Even among all the discussion about TO's leadership style and integrity,
I would not be surprised if this indeed went down- it allows Callahan a
'graceful' exit after a nightmare run, although I am surprised the coach
is so adamant about not resigning even if it was, say, effective after
the Colorado game. Do not be surprised if Callahan does a 180 here and
announces after the KSU game that he is in fact stepping down after
Colorado. I think anyone who believes this staff will be here next year
is living in another world at this point.
And I'm quite sure now that TO has been in contact with at least 2
potential replacements... just a hunch ;-)

Subject: [Husker] KMTV: Callahan asked for Resignation
KMTV in Omaha reports that Bill Callahan informed the
team yesterday that he was asked to resign as head
coach, and that players should not expect this staff
to return next season.
