That is your opinion and you are more than entitled to it.  I do not 
agree that the 9-3 record in 2003 was a "farce", but I'm not going to 
continue down that argument path.

My main point is that the rest of the country (and most every coach) 
would never view a 9-3 season as a "farce."  You can claim that it's not 
about the record, but "how badly we lost", or how it was just a general 
feeling of "gravitating toward mediocrity", but very few people outside 
of Nebraska see it that way.  Certain NU fans are better able to 
rationalize this than members of the coaching fraternity and those in 
the media.  Whether that is fair or not, the national perception is 
often all that matters.
