It is Milliken (not Millikan).

Milliken heads the univesity system of which UNL is one part (some of us
like to say the flagship campus, but that is not PC) with UNMC, UNO, and
UNK.

There is so little chance that Perlman will be fired, that I haven't bothered
to look up whether anyone but the regents has that authority.  Whether or not
Milliken has that authority or not is rather immaterial in that (1) it won't
happen and (2) he wouldn't act in that manner without regential approval even
if he could.  That said, I'd guess Bob is correct.

If there is a strong message in rehiring Meyers (other than he evidently
was a good employee who didn't get on with Pederson), it isn't clear to me.

I thought better of not responding on this thread because it is so unrealistic.
