[Husker] Huskers take game 1

FYI, the Huskers took the first game vs aTm 5-3.

 

Watson pitched OK making it into the 6th inning, but the game of the day has
to go to Foust for striking out a batter twice witht the tying run on 3rd!
Way to go Matt!

 

Husker take on the Kitty Kats tomorrow night and then face the Horns on
Saturday.

 

FYI, the UT vs KSU game has been interesting.  It started out with KSU
jumping to a 4-0 lead and then UT scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the 3rd
to take an 11-4 lead.  KSU made a late charge, getting it all the way back
to 13-10, but UT puts up 6 runs in the bottom of the 8th for the final 19-10
lead.

 

In this 'round-robin' type tournament, the first win is huge.  This was a
big win for our boys and I think a big showing in this tourney will get us
into a better regional and 4-0 probably gives us an outside (very outside
tho) shot at a 2 seed.
