[Husker] what problem are we solving?

This thread is just another example of the Pedersen haters nit-picking
for the sake of nit-picking.
What is generally considered reasonable in today's scheduling is that
you play 1, possibly 2 of your non-conference games against other Top 25
caliber programs and 2 to 3 games against teams that provide almost sure
wins. If you take a look at our schedule for this season and for 2008 &
2009 that is exactly what Pedersen has accomplished.
In 2007 we will face 3 bowl teams including the defending ACC and PAC 10
Champions, one of whom will be a Top 25 team and the other a Top 5 team
- hardly a schedule to scoff at.
And it sure was convenient for all those "Pedey" haters out there to
omit the fact that the 2008 schedule includes a home game against
Virginia Tech and that the "pathetic" 2009 schedule includes the return
game in Blacksburg, one of the tougher places in college football to
win.
Last time I checked VT was a perennial Top 25 team, so for all of you
who want the schedule to feature "at least 1 game against a "name"
school that is exactly what you are getting in 2008 & 2009, so stop
complaining about nothing.
And don't forget that future schedules include series with typical Top
25 teams UCLA and Tennessee as well as Washington, a team many consider
to be on the way back after hitting rock bottom the last couple of
seasons.
Have a great day!
GO BIG RED!
Jeff
