[Husker] Let's all send Steve Pederson a thank you note!

My comment on Sadler is that the only reason we have him is that Collier
went to Bradley (?) as AD. NU was fortunate to get Sadler due to the timing
of things.
I really could not care less about bball, but I was very surprised that SP
did not fire Collier last year.

I thought I made it clear that I LIKE Sadler. I was just contesting the
comment that "we hired a bb coach who made in immediate impact on the B12."
This is patently not true -- even if we avoid the bottom quarter of the
league. I agree with not piling on, but he's getting not getting credit he
hasn't earned either (at least from me).
Yes, I will give SP credit for not screwing up ALL the programs at NU.
Conversely, I noticed that we haven't won the B12 Director's Cup (or
whatever it is called) for the all sports trophy since SP took charge. I
think Byrne won it about half the years he was here.

I find it interesting that virtually everyone who has commented on
Sadler thought he was terrific until someone made the mistake of linking
his name to Pedersen's. We all have our concerns about Callahan, and it
may turn out that hiring him was a huge mistake. But if we're going to
blame Pedersen for that hire, we also have to credit him for Sadler.
