I find it interesting that virtually everyone who has commented on 
Sadler thought he was terrific until someone made the mistake of linking 
his name to Pedersen's. We all have our concerns about Callahan, and it 
may turn out that hiring him was a huge mistake. But if we're going to 
blame Pedersen for that hire, we also have to credit him for Sadler.

And while Pedersen did not hire Anderson or Yori, doesn't he get at 
least some credit for their continued success (and the continued success 
of the VB and track teams)? Would we spare him the (metaphorical) lash 
if any of those programs went in the tank? I doubt it.

Bottom line: there is plenty to criticize about Pedersen without piling on.
