Steve,

I think your expectations might be a little rosey.

This thread on the Huskerpedia BBS is talking more about how the Wake
Forest game could be a potential "trap game", but it also outlines
various schedule "traps" this year, and a few reasons why there are
several factors working against us having a "stellar" season, (i.e.
Bowman out, Purify out, coaching changes, new QB catching up on the
WC offense).

I know we have talent, but we're suddenly thin at I-back, will have a
new D-line, a new starter at QB (always a rough thing, no matter the
circumstances), and we're still thin at DB IMHO. Not a recipe for
dominance, or even a 1 or 2 loss season, IMHO. Maybe we're still a
year or two away from that.

I really think that due to our schedule and the "toughness" of
maneuvering it successfully, a 4 loss season this year is a distinct
possibility, even if we are a better team than last year. That'd be
a pity, because people won't give the coaches credit and it will be
considered a "bad" year. I sure as heck hope for 3 or less losses!!!
