[Husker] Sarah Pavan

There is a wonderful full page ad/announcement on the back page of the USA Today today that is rather impressive.
 
I am at the AMA Annual Meeting in Chicago and am wearing my Husker tie today very proudly.
 
Having majored in Biological Sciences and managed to finish as a Chancellor's Scholar (4.0 average), I can not fathom attempting to play Division I athletics and accomplishing this as well.
 
This is truly an amazing feat and one for which all of Nebraska should be especially proud

Considering all the love that Husker Volleyball gets on the list I am
surprised that no one has mentioned that Sarah Pavan was named the
Honda-Broderick NCAA Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year for 2006-2007
yesterday morning in New York.



In addition to leading the Husker VB team to the National Championship,
Sarah has a 4.0 GPA in biochemistry, hardly a degree to scoff at. That
prowess in the classroom has also earned her the distinction of being
named ESPN: The Magazine's 2006 Academic All-American of the Year.



Congratulations Sarah.
