It is definately a testament to letting cooler heads prevail.
To often if a player/team/manager/general manager has a bad loss or doesn't produce results immediately, there is a hue and cry for their head.
It's to the credit of Buddy Bell, Dayton Moore, George Brett, and Hal MacRae that Alex was given sufficient time to work his way out of his extended slump.
