Alex went 2 for 4 tonight and he is really just driving the ball now.

 

To dig a little deeper, many of you remember Alex's 4 for 4 game against
Cleveland about two weeks ago, well that day lit a fire under his _____.

 

At that time, he was batting a dismal .173.  Since then, he's 24 of 56 for
an amazing .429 clip (.232 season to date).  In those 14 games, he's scored
10 runs, 4 doubles, 2 homers, struck out just 7 times, and drove in 10.  WAY
TO GO ALEX!

 

I think the big thing for Alex is he's learning to hit some of the nastier
off-speed stuff you see in the bigs (like the splitter that was killing him
early in the year).

 

It's great to see that KC's decision to keep him up really pay off.  Alex is
really coming around!
