[Husker] Baseball Changes

I posted this yesterday but never saw it appear. I am pretty sure what
went wrong and it was my mistake. If per chance some of you did see it
then my apologies for doubling up on you.

The Husker baseball team is undergoing some coaching changes. I am not
sure why Sawyers is moving on. Unless I missed something the article
never really says. It just quotes Sawyers as saying “Dee and I have been
here five years and this place means a lot to us,” Sawyers said of
himself and his wife, “but it’s kind of a thing where we’re ready to try
something new. I felt the time (to do that) was right now, in order to
be fair to Coach Anderson.” That could mean anything. In other words I
don't know if the decision was Sawyer's, Anderson's, or a mutual
agreement. It doesn't really matter other than we really don't know.

The one that I found interesting was the moving of Bingham. Anderson
said in the article it shouldn't be taken as a demotion. It is just a
restructuring. Technically that probably would be the case, But,
typically when you are satisfied with what is going on you don't make
changes. When the pitching hasn't been what it was under Childress and
Anderson states, “I need to evaluate, (but) I have a pretty clear idea
of what I think can win in this conference,” when speaking of finding a
pitching coach it would seem he wasn't happy with the direction of the
pitching.

This is still a good program with a good foundation. Hopefully the
changes Anderson is making makes it even more solid.
