Thanks for the response. I didn't mean to intimate that I believed Nebraska 
is now mediocre. However, I think we are at a very critical point in the 
program. When we were winning and developing players under the Van 
Horn-Childress influence we were an attractive destination for recruits. If 
we do not start recruiting better we will not perform better, and it becomes

a vicious cycle . . . we will not recruit better and we will become 
consistently mediocre. My point was I believe Anderson will be expected to 
perform commensurate to the money that has been spent on the program. I 
would guess his boss was not impressed with the self-justification he 
offered in the article.

That being said mediocre could be within spitting distance when you sweep 
aboslutely no series during the year, win only 4 out of 9 league series and 
struggle with Wayne State and Northern Colorado.
