For those who adopt the Cub's attitude of wait until next year, what do you 
base any hope on? If you posit that we had a lack of talent this year, the 
talent we did have will not be back. I am afraid the poor showing we have 
had the last two years will not make us an attractive option to the elite 
recruits.

Anderson can bemoan the lack of talent, but ultimately he evaluated and 
recruited these players. Lack of talent also doesn't explain the disturbing 
downward trend that began the middle of last season and continued this 
season. Last year there was no excuse with pitching like Joba, Dorn and 
Watson. We had Christy and Gorsett. That was a talented team that under 
achieved. Who should be held accountable for this trend?

I guess my opinion would be if Anderson believes the fan's expectations are 
unrealistic he should go to a school that has a little less pressure. 
Nebraska has put a lot of money into the baseball program and I do not 
believe the athletic administration will allow it to be consistently 
mediocre.
