This exchange is a pleasure to read - a civil, reasoned difference of opinion.  It's too bad that all discourse on this forum isn't this way.  Thanks to both of you.  Returning to lurking mode.

Probably my feeling about being fortunate to be in a regional is 
more gut feeling than hard stats. I know they played in a tough 
conference and had a winning record. But, I just never felt most of the 
season they played all that well. It just seemed to me had they played 
up to their potential they would have been a shoo in for a regional. 
But, they made it and represented well. It was about what I expected. 
I appreciate your comments.
