The pitching, and especially the bullpen, has pretty much been the
problem all year. You can point to certain games where where the
Huskers didn't hit but in baseball you have to look at stats over the
long haul and not just for a few games here and there. Walks and hit
batters are part of the game. It doesn't speak well about the
pitching. I think the Huskers are just going through a transition
period right now. They had their share of off the field distractions
this years as well. This team is still on a solid foundation. We just
need pitching basically.
