A day or two ago, Joba was called up to AAA Scranton (already) and had his
first start.

How'd he do?

J. Chamberlain (W 1-0) 5 IP, 4H, 0R, 0ER, 1BB, 10K, 0HR, 0.00 ERA

Sick. This guys is on the fast track. If you'd have asked me at the
beginning of the season, I'd have said he could reach the bigs in 2009ish if
he really worked hard. Now, IMO he's probably going to be in pinstripes
within a month.

I would think they'd use him in a mid-relief spot for the rest of the
season and maybe free up a starting spot next year.

Overall minor league stats:

9-2 2.56ERA 15 starts 84.1IP 125Ks 27BBs .203 avg

FYI, his 13.34 K/9 would lead the majors by about 3 right now. I know minor
league isn't the same level of hitters, but wow!
