To Greg Z. : You seem to be the sanest person in this discussion on
Purify. I find myself agreeing with you 100%.

I think if we excuse him again, we'll be headed even further down the
slippery slope that OU and UT have slid, where "winning at all costs"
seems to be the governing principle, although not publicly stated as
such.

Maybe a higher % of today's super-talented HS players come with bad
baggage ????  But this doesn't excuse it for NU players, at least to my
way of thinking.

Thank God we didn't recruit Michael Vick. This whole "dog mess" keeps
reminding me of how Tommie Frazier was completely overlooked by the
national media in their quest to crown Vick as the "ultimate" option QB. 

Of course, before Vick, NU's option was "archaic" and whoever was running
it could be safely ignored.  :-)
