No - I think he thinks just being gone is not good enough. Would a public
hanging be enough? Would next to the fountains behind the Union at the USC
game be appropriate? What he did was wrong... but if you think this is so
horrible - you need to take off your red colored glasses. This is nothing
compared to what was swept under the rugs without the internet and ESPN and public
outcry about athletes getting special treatment around even when I was in
college in the late 70- early 80's -at Nebraska and everywhere. What I had heard
about some goings on from a friend of a friend type stuff when I was there
was amazing. Only two real differences here - you summarily believe what you
hear as true, and with the tight scrutiny of athletes now - something like
this can not just go away - even if it should. Do I want him to stay on the
team? Yes - for a variety of reasons - he is a great player AND it is what is
best for him. The Husker haters will already point to this as a black mark -
as we Husker supporters look at Oklahoma and the Bomar thing or Texas and
their drug problem players or Colorado and recruiting or IA State and their
fans or ...

I think we get the idea that you want Purify gone.
