I will comment where I can, this is from memory, so I will likely
leave something out or state a fact incorrectly. If I do I apologize.

>Johnny Rodgers - Robbed a gas station
>Christian Peter - Arrested 8 times, convicted 4 times
IIRC, the bad stuff was after he finished at NU, but there was talk
that he should not be allowed to play.
>Lawrence Phillips - assault
Do not need to rehash this.
>Riley Washington - Charged with, but later acquitted, second degree
murder
Attempted. From what I remember a Lincoln gang banger claimed RW shot
him. Trial was very short, no evidence. NU changed the policy that any
athlete under felony indictment cannot play.
>Major Culbert - Sexual assault
strike 1
>Tyrone Williams - Convicted of felony charge of discharging a gun
convicted after NU, but happened while he played. Do not remember what
(if any) penalty.
>Abdul Muhammad - Bullet lodged in buttocks from gang activity
Alleged gang activity. He got shot reportedly at home (Compton CA).
Hard to fault him.
>Terrell Farley - Several chances after multiple DUI's
2 DUIs, 2 game suspension for the 1st, thrown off the team for #2.
I do not remember several chances.
>Broderick Thomas - Arrested multiple times, although after he was a
Husker
>Josh Brown - Served 23 days in jail after for assault
>Shevin Wiggins - accused of fondling 14-year old girls...convicted
of
>contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Happened after his SR year, though the NCAA granted him an extra year
of eligibility, NEVER PLAYED AGAIN AT NU
>Tony Veland - DUI
Strike 1
>Josh Davis - Theft
Strike 1 was penalized but I cannot recall the level.
>Grant Wistrom - Assault
>Mark Vedral - 1st degree sexual assault
acquitted.
I disagree that there is a shoot from the hip mentality. The legal
troubles for MP have been widely known for a while. He has (or shortly
will) plead on both counts. BC will then, as he stated, decide what
penalty MP will face with respect to the team. If you feel he deserves
no penalty, fine, that is your opinion.
