You are right. It is an extremely fine line.

Possibly, IF I knew about the NCAA sanctions before I got there which many times isn't the case.

Would you see the problem if at your place of employment it was said that if anyone was caught doing something everyone would be fired? You and everyone else except one person walk the straight and narrow while this one person does something. As a result everyone in the company was fired. According to what you wrote I would have to assume you would feel that is part of life and would see nothing wrong with that. I seriously doubt that. I would believe the people that tried to do the right thing would be up in arms and rightly so.

That isn't even close to the same thing. That is caused by demographics. We are talking about guilt and innocence here and not about charges because of where you choose to live. What we are talking about is the same thing is if some member of your family commits a crime and all the members of your family get thrown in jail for no other reason than you all belong to the same family. Would you have no problem with that?

I understand the University's need to monitor certain things. But, they cannot monitor every member of the football team every day all the time 24/7/365. Now if Stoops or some member of his staff set this up we are talking a whole different deal. But if it was done under the table or unknowingly by players then that is again another deal. Either way I have a problem with everyone on the team being punished because of the actions of a few. It does not happen that way in professional sports. If someone gets out of line or breaks the rules in some way that person is dealt with and not every member of the team. Do you believe if Barry Bonds is ever proven to have taken performance enhancing drugs that every member of his team should be disciplined for example? Or, should it be just Barry disciplined? I am just asking what if? I have no idea if it will ever be proven about Bonds or not.
