I'm with you all the way Mike. Kugler's great with football. He did the
Westwood one nationally broadcast games last year and did a very good job.
I like Kugler for baseball the most, but he's pretty talented at everything
I've heard him do. I think his ultimate downfall (with broadcasting Husker
games) is because he's the lead guy on a commentary show that's not always
bright and rosy when it comes to the Huskers. Peedy's pretty consistently
opposed to anyone that could say anything bad about the Huskers ever. Rumor
has it they had a falling out a few years ago causing NETV (where Kugler was
calling games) to lose some broadcasting rights to Husker events for about a
year.
Kevin also did some NCAA Tournament basketball games last year and I thought
he did a pretty good job. He also did the CWS this year.
Pavelka's GREAT at doing basketball, he's got a very quick tongue and
basketball's very hard to do, IMO. Of my generation (1980's on), I'd have
to say I like Pavelka the best and maybe Rosey the least.
I like Rose's voice, but he drinks SOOO much of a the coolaid it's hard to
trust what he says. He's the ultimate, "That was the greatest run ever by
any thoroughbred that donned the scarlet and cream. Yes, it's 2nd and 8
after that dazzling display of athleticism. Folks, he was stopped at 1
yard, but with the heart of a champion he doubled his triumph."
Sometimes I'd like to know what's actually going on...
