I never knew that ESPN's Dan Patrick called Husker
football!  :-)  (I bet you were thinking Joe Patrick
of WOW...)

Personally, I think Jim Rose is a disaster as a
play-by-play announcer on Husker football, combining
all of the worst traits of his predecessors.
(Inaccuracy, hyperbole, plus a prepubesent voice at
key points of the game.)  It's too bad because very
few people can match his background and understanding
of the history.  He'd likely make a great #2 or #3 guy
in the booth to showcase his talent.

There are any number of broadcasters in this state,
let alone in this country, who could do a fine job
calling the Husker games.  Kevin Kugler of KOZN (1620
AM) in Omaha would be my #1 choice, personally.
