I can't fully buy the argument about Norvell looking to add to his coaching 
resume by calling plays at UCLA. The World Herald article mentions Norvell 
had interviewed for 3 other college head coaching jobs this winter (Iowa 
State, Boston College and North Texas, which I had forgotten about), and now 
he decides to take the OC job at UCLA? Wouldn't most folks wait until 
another HC job opened up (and it's never a very long wait) before moving to 
UCLA, but of course, for all we know the folks at the other 3 schools may 
have told him they wished he had some playcalling experience. I don't know, 
I just think there is more than meets the eye here, but of course we won't 
ever know unless Norvell or someone else close to the situation elaborates. 
I certainly hope this is not a trend (people leaving).
