The game ended and the Coloardo crowd ran amuck on Folsom
Field. They were starting
fights with any Nebraska fans in proximity until a parting
of the waves took
place and about 10 red shirt huskers and freshman football
players started making
their way from the Northwest corner of the field down the
middle. They scattered
the troublemakers in short order doing the job that the
so-called security people
refused to accomplish.
I played football for Ansley from 1961-64. We always opened
with Litchfield. Were
you in school at the time Litchfield made a run in
basketball playoffs after going
winless in regular season play but missing a state berth by
one game with a mostly
freshman and sophomore team?
