I'll chime in after being gone on vacation for a couple weeks.

I am from Omaha and grew up listening to Husker games on the radio in
the fall. I just turned 45 and my earliest memory is the seeing the
"cool" colors of LSU when we played them in the 1970 Orange Bowl. I
vividly remember knocking over a glass of pop onto the carpet during the
Game of the Century in the excitement of Rodger's punt return. I also
remember TV news footage of the throng of people celebrating the 1971
national championship at 72nd St. & Dodge in Omaha.

I too graduated from Omaha Benson (1980). My studies took me to New York
and I haven't lived in Nebraska since then. It was always tough getting
any quality information from out of state and somehow I stumbled over
this mail list. My best recollection is subscribing around 1998 or so,
or right around the tail end of Mike Nolan's text updates of Husker
games. For someone living out of state, I found the list to be
irreplaceable. I currently call the suburbs of Chicago home.

I've only been to 4 Husker games, all of which were done during my adult
years. The only time I've been to Memorial stadium is when I made a
special trip from Arizona for my first (and only) home game. The rest
were convenient to where I was living at the time.

1984 - Loss to Syracuse at Carrier Dome
1996 - Loss to Arizona St @ Tempe Stadium
1999 - Win over Texas A&M @ Memorial Stadium
1999 - Win over Tennessee @ Fiesta Bowl
