Ok, since there has not been a North Carolina post
I'll oblige.

45 years old
Graduated from UNL in 1984
List lurker for about 10 years.
Been in Charlotte NC for the past 8 years.  Prior to
that I lived in TX for 12 years. 

Grew up in Lexington where I spent a few afternoons at
the Kiffen's (Monte's parents) where I was treated to
Shasta Root Beer and Pringles.

My love for the Huskers grew quickly.  I Started
following the Huskers in 1970.  My first game in
person was that same year vs OU, a 28-21 NU victory.
Left the living room during the winning drive of the
Orange Bowl vs LSU so I could pray for the Huskers.

Does anyone else remember the little football helmets
for the Big 8 teams in the potato chip bags (don't
remember the brand)?  I had them all until a couple of
them got smashed when the Huskers lost.  Also smashed
a radio headset after a tie with Iowa State.

Can sum up my love for the Huskers with this:  after I
graduated college I was talking with a friend and I
asked him if he thought we would ever grow out of our
Husker fanaticism.  He replied "I hope not".  My
sentiments exactly.
