I wonder if this effort (which I also have participated in over the
years) to talk the opposition out of their apparel is a distinctly
Nebraska thing? I too, had no luck in getting the Tennessee fans to
part with anything. I even tried to swap them "even up" for a
Nebraska pull-over jacket to no avail. Fans of other schools seem
ready to give me things. Usually I just hang onto them for the trip
home and then discard them shortly thereafter...or use them as a
painter's shirt.

I'm 40, been on the list since way back...don't remember exactly when
I joined, but it had to be in'94 or '95. I was born/raised near
David City, NE, went to Wayne State to college ('80 to '84) and ended
up here in Sioux City shortly after. I would have gone to UNL if not
for two things: 1) WSC was more affordable and 2) actually had the
better Broadcast Communications program at the time. I've joked
over the years that I'll have to move over to South Sioux City, NE
soon so that I don't live in Iowa longer than I lived in Nebraska.
But we just bought a different house in Sioux City, and I co-own a
business that is in its 11th year (and will be my final career
destination unless something unforeseen happens...knock on wood). So
I guess I'm stuck in Iowa. Oh well, I'm about 10 minutes away from
"The Good Life", just across the Missouri River.

I love this list and the information provided by other listers, most
of whom know way more than I do. Thanks to all those people and to
Mike for giving us this resource!
